Maxwell Kagan is a writer/producer with an MFA from the American Film Institute Conservatory and a B.A. from New York University. He has a background in film and TV development at Marc Platt Productions and Sight Unseen, as well as several years in entertainment law and artist management for clients like Charlie Puth and Lauren Spencer-Smith. He has produced acclaimed short films and music videos, including Degree of Certainty (Simon Schneider), which won the Amazon Innovative Storytelling Grant and has won the Cannes Lions - 2026 Young Director Award (Silver), as well as playing at Academy and BAFTA qualifying festivals such as Flickers' Rhode Island International Film Festival, Hollyshorts Film Festival, AFI Fest and Aesthetica Film Festival. He is currently the Manager of Production at award-winning Producer Bill Block's studio Gammatime and is developing Degree of Certainty into a feature film.
